Weak breakfasts, we arrived around 9:30 and many things were already running out.

I would describe Hotel Nena as a 3-star hotel with 5-star service and facilities! The breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of choices. Of all four hotels we stayed at during our trip to Turkey in Istanbul (Sultanahmet and Taksim), Bodrum and Fethiye, Hotel Nena was by far the best overall experience. We were traveling as a family, my wife and our three daughters and were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a room with a sea view, which was a lovely touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. A special mention to Mr. Aziz, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. He gave us excellent suggestions for shopping areas and restaurants and, most importantly, allowed us to leave our extra luggage at the hotel while we traveled to Bodrum, even though we would be staying in Taksim when we returned to Istanbul. We also accidentally left a wallet at the hotel during check-out while heading to Bodrum. The hotel contacted us on WhatsApp and even sent us a picture of the wallet. We were able to collect it later on our way back to Istanbul from Fethiye. This level of honesty, care and attentiveness really deserves appreciation. The location is superb, just about a 5-minute walk from the Sultanahmet tram station, making it very convenient for exploring the main attractions. Overall, we had an excellent experience at Hotel Nena. If I visit Istanbul again, Hotel Nena will definitely be my first choice for staying in the Sultanahmet area. ❤️ Highly recommended!

The offers received from the hotel staff are much higher than what you find on booking, double the price for the Bosphorus cruise.

The staff and location are great, but the room is really really small; if you have luggage, you don’t have much space to walk. Also, the hotel has no parking space.

Breakfast can be improved

I was very happy with my stay at Nena Hotel Nena, located in the Fatih district, right near Sultanahmet. First of all, I want to mention the location. The hotel is very close to the Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, clothing shops and many other interesting places. It is also very close to a public transport stop, which makes it very convenient and easy to get around Istanbul. At the same time, the hotel itself is located on a very quiet and peaceful street, away from clubs and nightlife. Since I was traveling alone in Istanbul, feeling safe was very important to me, and I genuinely felt safe and comfortable here, even when coming back to the hotel in the evening. The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable. There was a large TV with YouTube, the bathroom was spotless, there were plenty of mirrors, and everything looked fresh and newly renovated. You can really see that the hotel pays attention to cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast was amazing! It was delicious and very varied, with both sweet and savory options. I especially liked that the selection changed slightly every day, so breakfast never felt repetitive. And one of my favorite little touches was being treated to Turkish coffee at breakfast — it was absolutely wonderful! I also want to give special praise to the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, kind and caring, and always ready to help with anything. I was always welcomed with a smile, and it was clear that they are true professionals who genuinely care about their guests. This was my third time in Istanbul. On my previous trips, I stayed around Istiklal, but now that I have discovered this hotel, I honestly don’t want to stay anywhere else. I will definitely come back here again. I give this hotel 5 stars and 10/10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. Great location, cleanliness, quiet surroundings, safety, delicious breakfast, wonderful staff — and all at a very pleasant and reasonable price.
