Obvious lack of maintenance, dirty carpet, dirty bedside table, black bathroom sealant. Extremely noisy parking on one side, no soundproofing, clients entering in the middle of the night and shouting in the hallway. Bathroom door with a 10cm gap at the bottom, no privacy, no toilet brush.

In the restaurant, 12.5% is automatically added to the bill as a tip, which I find cheeky. I would like to decide that myself. I would not rate the service and food in the restaurant as very good; on two out of three evenings, we had to ask for cutlery after the food was served... considering the prices, I would expect everything to be relaxed and straightforward.

Breakfast was lovely, a full Scottish. Room was small but had everything we needed and was quiet. Location was amazing, 5 minutes walk to the Murrayfield Stadium.
