This was simply one of the best, no the best hotel I have stayed in. The manager offered me a room upgrade. They were very helpful with my late afternoon check out and allowed me to freshen up in one of the Spa's therapy rooms. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, professional and helpful. The room was blissful (with very effective AC) with a lovely large bed, a superb bathroom and access to private swimming which I used for blissful swims in the morning with stunning views over Lake Pichola to the palace. The breakfast was commensurate with a top end hotel offering Indian and international choices. The hotel grounds were beautifully manicured and invited you to take lovely walks through foliage that was in full bloom
