Guest sentiment

  • Cleanliness9.8

Multiple reviews mention the hotel is clean (including specific note: 'מקלחת נקיה אך קצת ישנה') — generally very clean though some fixtures are dated.

  • Service10.0

Consistently praised staff: 'always nice', 'excellent staff', 'צוות מקסים', helpful reception (assisted with late checkout) — service is a clear strength.

  • Location10.0

Repeatedly described as an excellent/central location ('best location', 'מיקום פצצה', 'ממש על כיכר דיזינגוף') — location is outstanding.

  • Room Quality9.6

Rooms are generally comfortable but several notes of dated/tired elements: small rooms, old shower/AC, some lighting issues and occasional flickering bulb; overall good but not perfect.

  • Amenities10.0

Good amenities reported: rooftop, free upgrades, complimentary breakfast for some, chocolates in room, happy hour — one report of a slightly neglected roof area but overall amenities are strong.

  • Value for Money7.5

Mixed-to-negative comments on value: parking agreement failure and extra charges, a guest who paid a high rate and received a cramped room with poor AC — value perception is a notable weakness.

  • Food and Beverage9.9

Breakfast responses are mixed: some guests enjoyed (including free breakfast mentions), others said 'breakfast could be a little better' or 'ארוחת הבוקר לא טובה' — overall positive but with room for improvement.

  • Overall Experience10.0

Most guests describe a very pleasant, charming stay ('cutest hotel', 'will definitely return', 'אוירה טובה'), though a few specific issues (parking, dated rooms) temper some experiences.

Guest reviews

The reception staff were nice.

The reception staff were nice.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, the TV didn't work, and there was no bottle of water in the room—something basic.

The location on Dizengoff circle is priceless. We were given a room with a terrace and we found ourselves sitting outside even in the blistering Tel Aviv sun because the social scene in Dizengoff is really so pleasant to just sit and watch. Tel Aviv in general and this area in particular is vibrant and alive and full of vitality and optimism. The room is ostensibly 16-18 square meters which sounds tiny but it felt surprisingly roomy and a giant mirror makes the room seem doubly big. The nostalgia value of the hotel should not be discounted - it is an old giant movie theater remodeled into a hotel, and the place leans into this at full tilt- with so many old cinema and Hollywood paraphernalia as well as giant movie projectors and various street signs reminiscent of Old Tel Aviv. The breakfast was great and they meet the Israeli standard for outstanding breakfasts, plus the lobby includes an amazing coffee shop which is very popular and always filled with customers. It enabled an amazing weekend in Tel Aviv - walking distance from the beach and its promenade, from the old neighborhoods of Neve Tzedek, with the path that goes along the old railroad track, Kerem Hateymanim and the Carmel Market, old Jaffa and the port, and of course the classic Tel Aviv neighborhoods around Dizengoff, Frishman, Ibn Gvirol- I can go in and on.
