Location was good. 10 minutes to base of castle, 15 minutes to end of Princess Street.

Food was very average. Uncooked batter on fish and chips meal. At breakfast, strangest scrambled eggs ever, cooked too long, crumbly, dry and no seasoning.
After 20 hours of travel between flights and layovers, we arrived at the hotel eager to enter the room, take a shower, and relax. To our surprise, the hotel was overbooked and we were redirected to another lower-category hotel for that first night. The next day when we arrived in the morning, they told us that the room was still not ready, so we had to wait for it to be ready. It was a very unpleasant and annoying experience !!. After what we have been through, I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW BOOKING GIVES THIS HOTEL SUCH A HIGH SCORE !! THEY SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL WITH THE SCORING PROCESS. On the other hand, Novotel credited us the value of one night and paid for the round-trip taxis to the alternative hotel.
