This is our 2nd time at Hyatt Ziva and it did not disappoint. We had a great time. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. From our Butler Adrian who went above and beyond our entire trip to seeing Manny (now a server at El Molino), it felt like visiting friends. Christopher Luna was the manager on duty at the pool this round and he did a great job of managing all of the different behaviors of folks who want to own the pool by putting down towels early to taking the time to make sure every guest had a great time. We did a master suite with ocean view which was in building three - great view of the ocean and the adult pool. This room is perfect as our kids slept on the pull out in the living room and we still had tons of space for us to lounge when in the room. The room was clean and each day they came in to ensure that it was top notch. The food was amazing and our favorite restaurant, DOZO, continues to impress the kids with the amazing hibachi - request Roman as he was tons of fun! If you decide to only get sushi, make sure to ask for Luis who was a great waiter! As soon as we got in our car to go home, the kids asked when we get to come back! Hyatt Ziva is the best! Great location - less than 20 minute drive from the airport. See you again soon.

Really enjoyed our time at the Hyatt Ziva. Great location, wonderful service, lots to do, and many dining options, and a beautiful pool space. I did find there to be a lot of noise at the property - constant music playing, it would be nice to hear the sound of the ocean. It was also a struggle to find pool chair most days and the chair policy was inconsistently followed by staff. Could use more spaces for enjoying the pool. All in all would go back and was a great place for families.

So disappointed to see that the quality of the hotel has gone downhill. We have been here 9 times and even had my daughter's wedding here. It was apparent they have staffing issues at the restaurants which makes not only the service poor but the quality of the food was poor in some of the restaurants. We here with my family and grandchildren (ages 5 and 11 months) with an upgraded room so they could get the extra help of services and a butler which was sporadic at best. Room service and housekeeping came before they were asked and woke up the sleeping baby several times. Pool food was dry (avoid the tacos) and the pool was not very clean. Talked with management several times to share our disappointment.

For the price, there are several other resorts. We have been to Cabo 10+ times, and we go 3x a year. We have tried Le Blanc 4x, and Garza Blanca, Paradissus, Hard Rock just to name a few. Our Room - I had two rooms, one for our adult child and son, and the other for my husband and I (swim-up room). The hotel room was in such poor shape, that I am embarrassed that I had another family come along with us because it is a reflection upon me. The terra-cotta flooring, couch, bathroom in our room was in a severely dilapidated state. I understand that some of the rooms are updated, but I think these are "club rooms". The hotel prides itself on being "luxury", however, there was nothing here that I found to be even remotely luxurious. We paid nearly $800/night for what at most should be a $400/night room. Pool - Get a cabana scheduled for the duration of your stay. On our first full day, we made the mistake of going down at 7am and stayed down there until 10am because had we not, there would be literally no where to sit. People are fighting over chairs, the staff will come and pick up items that are left behind on chairs even if you walk away to use the bathroom for a few minutes. It's absolutely insane. Restaurants - The Coastal restaurant and Italian restaurants are the best ones. The steakhouse is old and stale, and the menu is boring. The Japanese restaurant was updated, but it's almost impossible to get a reservation at the teppanyaki unless you want to eat at 9pm. Staff - The staff are mostly great. Ayssa, our Mayordoma, was fantastic. She was always eager to help. The pool staff, when heavily tipped, are also great at ensuring you have what you need. Some of the restaurant staff are cranky, but I think it's because a lot of patrons don't tip. Overall: Please look around. There is no reason that Hyatt Ziva should be on anyone's top 3 or 5 list.
