A relatively new hotel (built around 2000) with a traditional feel. The rooms are large and airy and immaculately clean. The hotel only serves breakfasts, so other meals have to be eaten out (which is no problem, given the number of restaurants in Split). However, the breakfasts are excellent and are served in the continental buffet style. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. The location is a little way out from the harbour and old town (a 15 minute walk to the promenade), but this means it is in a quiet part of town, which is nice. There is a supermarket and a wine shop opposite the Globo, which are handy, and the hotel provides wine glasses in the room, so that you can bring bottles in. A very nice place to stay.

To get into the shower, you have to step into the bathtub. However, the bathtub wall was so high that only a hurdler or a person with very long legs can get in. It should actually be one floor down!!!
