It's hard to know where to start with what I liked. The locale is perfect for a really good nights sleep AND close walking proximity to all of the sights in the old town. The area is super quiet, the bed was the most comfortable of my entire trip, and there was abundant nearby parking available (paid parking). The room was fabulous: huge, well-appointed, with luxurious extras including delicious welcome-gift pastries, high-end espresso capsules, endless bottled water (still and sparkling), and sumptuous fluffy bath sheets. The staff were superb and went above and beyond to help make my stay at the hotel and my visit to Riga and the surrounding environs excellent. Guntars in particular went out of his way to help me figure out how to navigate local Latvian fees associated with visiting various locales outside of Riga via rental car, for which a Latvian or EU/UK phone number seems required in combination with an app called Mobilly, but other staff were also wonderful too and made me feel very welcomed.
