Bathroom was very small. The sink was the size of one found in toilets.

Hotel Komodor is very well located, close to Sunset Beach (in Lapad Bay) so that sunsets on clear days are spectacular (and can even be seen from the balcony of sea view rooms!). Breakfast is rich, with only minor variations from day to day, but you can find something for all tastes. The hotel even offers lunch (for a fee - but at an attractive price - compared to the restaurants in the area) and dinner (offered in a buffet style - all you can eat) also has a very good price (24.5 Euro at the end of August 2026) and an interesting selection of food. The proximity to the promenade on the side of Lapad Bay (approx. 5 km) with many perfectly arranged areas for descending to the exceptional sea water on the rocks was very attractive. There are also some great restaurants and terraces with access from this promenade (Cave Bar More, Traumuntana, or Lavant) that offer an excellent menu, with prices above average for some of them. However, the sea view, the quality of the food, and the service are all exceptional, so you won't regret spending an unforgettable evening. We stayed here for a week and it was enough to explore what Lapad had to offer, and we even did 3 cruises (to the Elafiti Islands, to Lokrum Island, and to the town of Cavtat - about 45 minutes by speedboat). All were delightful, especially since there is the possibility of swimming in any of these locations, and the water in all these areas is dreamy! Note - Cavtat is significantly cheaper (for food) compared to Dubrovnik. Overall, it was a very successful stay, even though slightly pricey (in terms of price).

Hotel Komodor is furnished in an older style (from the 80s), the bathroom was very small - but perfectly functional. However, the bed was comfortable and large, arranged daily, with towels changed daily as well. The age of the furniture didn't bother us much, but it will be necessary to renovate it - soon. The price probably won't be as attractive as it was now...

Old facilities without maintenance, very hard expired mattresses, as if you were sleeping on the floor and old, clumped pillows, broken shower, the manager offered me a room change and when I checked they were in the same conditions.

The hotel is a bit further from the Old Town but a bus leaves every few minutes 50m further down. The small pool is nice, you can refresh yourself. Breakfast is sufficient and tasty. Staff is very nice. Parking around the corner. Beach across the street. However, we walked a bit further up to a quieter spot. Rooms are okay. Bathroom could use a renovation.

Very small bathroom/shower, in need of renovation
