A wonderful hotel! We had a beautiful room, and I loved the hotel’s elegant interiors, historic character, and exceptional location right in the heart of the Old Town. A special mention goes to the Tchaikovsky restaurant, where we had both breakfast and dinner. It was absolutely excellent. I particularly appreciated the variety of local dishes and regional products offered at breakfast. The restaurant itself is also incredibly elegant. I was also extremely impressed by the staff’s attentiveness. Every request I had made in advance was carefully taken into account and fulfilled exactly as I had wished.

We’ve visited the hotel and its spa often and have always enjoyed it. On our most recent visit, a number of children were making a lot of noise in the spa area one evening. Kids will be kids, and the responsibility for supervising them lies with the adults in charge, but the screaming and shouting carried all the way to reception. When I mentioned it to the trainee on duty, unfortunately nothing was done, and she didn’t come into the spa area until most of the customers had left. Her reaction to my complaint did not make me feel heard or appreciated, meanwhile it was obvious also from other customers faces that the spa was not an enjoyable experience. In the meantime, there were no water glasses left out and the towels on the sunbeds hadn’t been changed. This made me wonder why a trainee was left on her own to handle the spa at a busy time. This was very unusual compared with our previous visits, and it was especially disappointing as the relaxing spa moments are the reason we keep returning. Perhaps some designated family times could help keep the spa relaxing for everyone.

The hot tub in the spa was just barely warm, this was very disappointing but otherwise the spa was great. The room could have been bigger.
