A great hotel in a great location on the edge of the Grassmarket. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Staff should have told us on arrival about Edinburgh charge on motor vehicles that are run on Diesel. I had a fine once I went home.

Exceptional staff and rooms. The shower and bathtub stood out as one of the best I’ve stayed in. The staff (an American gal in particular) carried our bags up many flights with the best attitude and was helpful with suggestions and getting us a taxi on departure (which arrived within the minute).

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and well decorated.

The bar is in a mezzanine and it was far too hot! There is clearly a problem and it is wrong the hotel makes someone work in those conditions. The barman wasn't complaining but was clearly incredibly uncomfortable.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate, extremely comfortable and so spacious. Complementary minibar with all sorts of goodies. Luxury toiletries and the shower and bath were huge. Breakfast and restaurant were also great. Location is amazing, around the corner from the National Museum of Scotland and many other city centre landmarks. Great sound insulation so you get to enjoy the perks of the location without compromising on peace and privacy.
