Simple hotel, but cozy. Well located, a 10-minute walk from Times Square. Entrance to the subway (blue line) on the same street, 1 minute away. Safe area, even at night. Plenty of restaurants nearby, for various prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Good soundproofing in the rooms. Despite many customers complaining about long waits in line for breakfast, I did not experience this issue; during the 7 days I stayed at the hotel, I did not have to wait, perhaps because I went very early (before 8 a.m.) or very late (after 9:30 a.m.). Interestingly, customers were encouraged to take breakfast food with them, by distributing (not every day) a paper bag for this purpose.

The breakfast didn't have much variety, at least by European standards; for example, there was only Philadelphia type cheese and no charcuterie products. There was room service every day; the bed was made and the towels changed, but the cleaning was poor (for example, hairs in the bathtub or sink were not removed).
