The table in our room needs to be replaced.
2nd stay after our visit to Jiuzhaigou. We were able to store our larger luggage at reception whilst we were away. Was assigned back the same 2 bedrooms apartment from previous stay. Good breakfast variety. Compared to other Somerset chain at different cities - the rooms were worn out and staff are not proactive.

1) the microwave has a burning smell 2) need to request again for drying rack 3) bathroom amenities used in previous stay like bathroom mat, shower cap not replaced 4) there is cigarette smoke smell in the apartment 5) staff are not proactive. Requested thru night front desk on the need to pack breakfast at 6.30am. Next morning - repeat again. Got takeaway boxes but no cutleries. They will give you if asked. Just frustrating as when you are hurry, limited Mandarin you need to go thru the same conversation of last night.
Location. Accommodation is excellent, we were very well received. The restaurant is great, breakfast with bread, coffee, yogurt, omelette, and many Chinese foods. It has a equipped kitchen, washing machine, and iron. I found it excellent, highly recommend.

The location by the river and ability to walk to a few attractions less than 1.5km. The room size is generous. We had a 2 bedrooms apartment. The bathroom has sufficient amenities. The kitchen too had sufficient cutleries and crockery.

The whole apartment feels worn down. The washing machine even though it has a drying function - it does not dry. Better to use the open laundry rooms.
The room was very clean and large. We had access to the indoor pool, very large gym, and spa. Good location, two metro stops to the center of Chengdu. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly, even the night elevator concierge was very attentive and friendly. We would repeat.

Staff - speaks English. Breakfast - for those far from Chinese cuisine, it might be a bit heavy. Overall, for 2-3 days, you won't be hungry, buffet, then you may get tired, but it's a matter of taste. Food - I think like in any city in China, everything is within walking distance, for those who don't eat Chinese food, it will be difficult. All the main products are available in mini markets near the house, if you can't find something, look in supermarkets (but you need to go specifically). I recommend making a plan at home, printing it out or saving it on your phone, due to possible lack of quality connection. Payment is possible in cash and cards (Visa, Mastercard), and local AliPay and WeChat...

China is a specific country, if you like it once, then everything is fine. You need to be able to adapt to the realities. Everywhere has its drawbacks. The hotel is not new, but they are all in the same format at this level, clear pictures, inside the same, but already tired, but cleanliness and comfort are there.
