The phone didn't work when we suddenly discovered that it was holding fire trucks down on the street in front of the hotel and we were not informed by the hotel, and we were staying on the 8th floor.

Nothing to complain about
It is not acceptable that the rooms are cleaned and the beds made only upon request by 11 pm the day before. Otherwise, I would have gone to a hostel and surely spent less.
Dull noises intermittently until around midnight: Origin neighborhood? Elevator?...
