A slight strange smell was felt upon entering the room
I traveled alone and felt accompanied and protected throughout the entire stay. The highlight of the hotel is the high-standard staff! When your Uber arrives at the hotel, they rush to open the door, carry your bags from the street to the entrance hall. At the reception, I had another great service show, I needed an early check-in, which they accommodated with 3 hours in advance, offering me a place to store my luggage, elegant and sanitized restrooms. Everyone learned my name, even though I am extremely shy. I had difficulties paying for a sightseeing tour due to the internet. The reception staff noticed the issue, reset my internet, and accompanied me until I resolved the situation, even with a crowded reception! The room cleanliness is exemplary! Everything is fragrant, they change sheets and towels whenever we signal. They provide shampoo/conditioner, shower and hand soap with an olfactory memory that is characteristic of Rio de Janeiro! I never use hotel soap, but this time I simply loved it! The restaurant is another wonder! Excellent staff. The breakfast is complete, international, with small and pleasant variations throughout the week. They provide lunch and dinner. I faced cold days and ordered a delicious soup! The staff responsible for towel delivery are attentive and polite. The structure is very well maintained, clean, fragrant. I even saw the woodwork being polished.

I am a Brazilian Afro-descendant woman, I missed seeing more black people at the reception, because representation matters. There was only one very elegant young man who served with promptness and politeness. I noticed that the staff is trained not to commit racist acts and I celebrate that! Congratulations! I didn't see black guests, so I was an aesthetic exception, however, at no time was I asked for identification, just as they did not ask white people, which made me very happy.
I liked all the hotel amenities. For me, the essentials of lodging are a good shower and a good bed. In this regard, the hotel is really good. The breakfast is also very good with plenty of variety.

The only thing that makes the hotel not perfect is the housekeeping service at night. I found it very disrespectful for the guest to be dragging furniture at 9 p.m. and they only stopped because I complained, otherwise they would have continued. For this single fact, I do not recommend the hotel. I believe it is more a management problem than a hotel quality issue, but most of the time we want a hotel to rest.
