Steps, steps steps and the smell of weed. the entrance to this 'hotel' (used loosely) is through a pair of doors controlled from reception by buzzer, once in you are met by 18 steep steps to a landing then followed by another 24 steps to reception (NO LIFT) the whole thing is dated, dusty and stinks of weed, the reception is on level 2 with another 2 floors above (YEP more steps and no lift) we were lucky being on floor 2, breakfast we tried once and then we decided it was crap luke warm coffee gave that away, very little choice and in a small room and four 30 minute time slots you could book night before. Room was tired with a 1970's look and lip service cleaned, but with kettle and four tea bags supplied, no milk or coffee though, the bathroom, WOW it was tiny with a half sized bath, which had a shower cubicle on it, the shower cubicle door was about 1 foot (30cm) wide and about 4 foot (120cm) high BUT IT WAS FIXED ON TOP OF BATH, so about 2 foot (60cm) step in and down on other side, awkward and unusable to anyone over about 80 kilos etc, shower was from the 1970's same as sink and toilet. Although the location was good the hotel entry was down an alleyway that from one direction smelt of weed and from the other pi55 as dossers were rough sleeping there, and looked like a muggers alley if you were alone late at night. Have stayed in hotels across the world for the past 30+ years and this one is way bottom of list.. AVOID AVOID.
Ideal location to visit Lisbon: proximity to places of interest and means of transport. Quite hearty breakfasts.

Our room was on the 4th floor and as we are over 70 years old, it was a bit breathless
