Guest reviews

Poor service. Was woken up from loud talking from staff outside of the room in the morning. More than once, had to wait for food at the market buffet because staff were huddled up talking. Couldn’t make reservations at some of the restaurants because always packed. I don’t like making reviews but this time I had to. I have payed less at other resorts and had better experiences.

The property at first impression is beautiful. The grounds are well-kept and flourishing, the bars are kept clean, and the beach is gorgeous. The restaurants are really nice and upscale, but the food is lacking. We stayed on the Adults Only side of the Excellence Club, and we found that the amenities are exactly the same as everyone else’s, except we had access to Dommo and the Excellence lounge. We did not visit the lounge. We loved the beach, but the vendors make it somewhat unwelcoming or uncomfortable. The front desk is unorganized and chaotic. We did not get a room until almost one and a half hours past our check-in time, which we arrived half an hour early for. We did not get a key to our room until 8pm, and they said they would bring it to us, but did not. We were supposed to have a honeymoon dinner, apparently, but were not told until the night before we checked out. The gentleman on the phone was kind and informative to us of the services regarding the dinner and he made the reservation. We arrived and the restaurant was unaware that it was supposed to be a special dinner. We never received turndown service and the minibar was poorly restocked. We did enjoy the complimentary hydrotherapy that was included with our terrace suite plus plunge pool, that we learned about via other guests. We loved Alexis at the swim-up bar & the several activities such as painting by the sea, bingo (bongo bongo), and poolside blackjack. There were several kids playing in the water on the Adults Only side, that several guests pointed out at the time. This did make our beach enjoyment a little less serene due to the yelling. The rooms were clean, but they mirrors, counters, and windows were not thoroughly cleaned. There is a $500 security deposit they made several couples pay upon check in. This thankfully was not an issue, but we feel the need to include this for other guests. The magic show, karaoke, live music, and circus show were very cool to experience.

We had an excellent time at Finest! We had a great time with Aracelli, she's amazing and fun. Elvis and Manuel are kind and lovely, beautiful souls! Ismael and Freddy are friendly and charming. The resort is very clean, the restaurant offers a little something for every palate, and the view....absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! We definitely recommend Finest and will he back!

Best trip ever. I didn’t want to leave, it was so much fun!! Service was pretty good, rooms were nice and clean when I arrived. The beach is so beautiful and the pools were amazing. The workers are so nice and beyond great service like Mayelin the bartender at the Golden Bar. The Sweet Corner has so many good options to eat or drink and great service from Flor and Ambar. Thank you to the entertainment crew like Soleda and the others for making the visit very fun and lively. My family and I spent majority of the time at the pool so I’m deeply grateful for the Aqua/Limbo Bar crew like Lendy, Guillermo, and Jose. I’m so thankful for the services you gave my family and I. You guys are very welcoming and nice. I will never forget! Overall the workers in the resort are so nice and so accommodating to make your stay way more better than you expect. I will definitely be coming back to this resort. It was a trip where I got to make so many memories along with my family and the workers because of the great service I got, so I will never forget about this trip!! I totally recommend to visit this resort!

I am currently staying at the Finest Hotel and we are on Day 3 and so far we've had a disappointing experience. We are here with various family members and staying in over 7 rooms. We've stayed at Finest hotels in Playa Mujeres and sadly this experience is not the same. The Pool Area: while the hotel has same luxe decor and offers various pools around the resort.... The towel service is terrible! You have to grab towels before 2pm otherwise they don't restock the towels. My kids went for a night swim at 5:30pm (pools are open til 8pm) and there were no towels! This has happened twice on Day 1. We walked all over to 4 different pools and checked all towel racks by the pools. Empty. Finally we found a pool boy 30+mins later who walked over 10-15mins to get us towels from laundry mat. We tipped him generously. On day 2 same thing, we looked for towels getting out of pool at 4:30ish, and had to walk down to beach stands yo find towels. The Dining Experience: there are many restaurant options, all very luxe, but the service is very slow. Also for the nicer dining experiences you have to go to front desk to make reservations. That's not too bad, but all the dining experience are booked up in advance for Friday-Sunday. So be sure to reserve as soon as you arrive. We were able to secure a Hibachi Experience for 5 for Thursday night at 7:30 (the last available spot). BUT....we had trouble with that as well... The Dining Confusion: on Day 3 of this review, we arrived to SHOJI at 7:27pm for our dining experience reservation and to our surprise there was NO ONE in the restaurant (not even a hostess). We did hear several people behind closed doors enjoying a hibachi experience, but we figured that was the 6:30 or 7pm party before us. After 10mins of waiting, we used the phone behind Hostess stand to call front desk. Finally at 7:52pm the dining manager arrived and said we didn't have reservations for tonight at SHOJI. That the paper ticket we received which said "SHOJI" was actually supposed to say "Melting Pot". It was an error at concierge. She kept the ticket and said she would address the error with staff. We then rushed over and arrived to Melting Pot at 8:05pm (it's a walk) and the hibachi show had already started. We caught the end, but at least we got to eat! My kids were super cranky waiting for 30mins at an empty restaurant... The Room Experience: While the bedrooms is nicely sized and fully equipped with large TV, cable, mini bar and the bathroom is generously sized with shower, jacuzzi tub, separate toilet room, etc... the rooms have a mild musty/mildew smell 😔and there are little ants in bathrooms and living room (by snack bar). The pull out couch is very uncomfortable. My 10year old daughter hasn't been able to sleep comfortably. OVERALL: the staff is friendly, the resort shows and activities are very good, the food is good, but I've had better experience for the same price at Dreams, Beaches and Finest Mexico. The service is slow and not very accommodating to large parties over 10. We doubt we'll return to this Finest location in Punta Cana.

I LOVED IT HERE!! I almost didn't want to go back home. The service is amazing! Our room was immaculate. The views are amazing. The upgrade to Excellence club is well worth it!! The 24-hour rooms service was amazing. At 3am i wanted some pineapples which by the way some of the best fruit I've ever had, 20 mins later it was delivered.

The hotel is very cozy and clean, I really liked the variety of restaurants, the Brass was my favorite. They have a very fun entertainment especially for children, the best Kids club we have been to, and the girls are extraordinary very smiling and friendly. Flor made our children's stay very pleasant, she is very professional and affectionate with the children and the activities she offers is very fun. The legends sports bar is super and the snacks are very tasty. I recommend this hotel.

We received excellent service from multiple people but one of the best was Yanisa at Sweet Corner, the coffee and ice cream shop. She remembered our order day to day, asked us about our stay, and treated us well. Our housekeeper Maria also deserves a shout out. She speaks very little English but did a great job with our room and any requests.
