As it was a boutique hotel on initially entering there was a lot of the wow factor, beautiful decor, beautiful setting the staff at reception could not be any more helpful and understood our situation as we had been stranded at the airport after a cancelled flight, overall our initial thoughts were that we had made a good choice. The location was absolutely fantastic right in the middle of the old town everything you could need from coffee shops, bistro’s, restaurants, and bars.

On first entering our allocated room my wife was very impressed and even took photographs to send to family members, however I am the more realistic type. The room was very small with only one easy chair for two customers (me in my mid 60’s)There was another chair that was sat at the desk. The stairs up to the bedroom level are very steep and if used in bare feet (for example to use the facilities during the night), it could/did end up being very painful with the sharpness of the steps. Sadly there were ants all over the floor and the sink and also in the bath that was situated in the middle of the living room floor, my wife then found the towels were badly fraud on the edges. Overall not what we expected from a boutique hotel in such a lovely location in a lovely city.
