The location of the AL is very good! There is no shortage of restaurants, shops, and points of interest to visit nearby! The host, Mr. Luís, proved to be very helpful before and during the stay! :) The apartment itself is great for spending a few days, having everything you need. It was the first time I visited Madeira and it was a great experience. I hope to return! :)

Luis Miguel sends you recommendations and places to consider in advance. The apartment is delivered clean and tidy. The entry instructions are clear and simple. There is shampoo/shower gel and toilet paper.

Definitely, we would not return to this accommodation. The location is central, but the area is completely overrun by homeless people and drug addicts. We have seen and above all heard several times a day how more than 5 people consumed heroin under our window, how they fought, argued, and shouted all night long. It has been impossible to rest during a week's stay. Also, if this was not the cause, below there is a bar that starts setting up tables, turning on the coffee machine at 6:30 am... The room should be soundproofed because otherwise, it is impossible. On the other hand, every step and knock from the floor above can be heard, and we have found more than 4 small cockroaches coming out of the sink. Luis Miguel is aware of the situation and we understand that it is not up to him that those people are under the window all day, but if something can be done, it is to put in good windows. Finally, the bed is very uncomfortable - you can feel the springs.

From late afternoon, the area is frequented by drug addicts, who make noise, argue loudly until around 11 pm without us having seen any police in the area. We were not approached by them but the situation is uncomfortable. Given the number of days in the accommodation, there should have been a change of bath towels, at least midway through the stay.
