I really loved my stay here. I was traveling solo and had specifically asked for a room that was not on the first floor, with a balcony if possible, and in a safe and comfortable setting. The property was beautiful, clean, and felt very safe. I especially appreciated the key code system, which made me feel secure knowing that only guests with the PIN could enter. The hosts were very friendly, responsive, and always available for communication. I also really appreciated that they offered me a complimentary early check-in when my room became available. I had to leave my luggage in the basement for a few hours, but it felt safe and secure.

The studio was clean and very quiet, set back from the street. The self check-in was simple and quick, using the codes that were sent to us via email the day before our arrival and did not cause any problems. The same email contains all the instructions for managing the house and also tips for local tourism. Excellent heating and WiFi coverage; in the kitchen, you will find the essentials for cooking. The location is absolutely strategic; for those arriving by car, parking at the cathedral is 400 meters away. For those on foot, the pedestrian area is 50 meters away, Sun Voyager 500 meters, Harpa one kilometer, the old harbor (whale watching, etc.) 1.5 km, Perlan museum 2 km. Right in front of the apartment, there is a Bonus supermarket; shops and restaurants are scattered around the house. There is no direct contact with Heimaleiga staff, but they respond in real-time via chat if needed.

It would have been convenient to have a microwave.

I wish there was parking. We had to park in a garage for 2 nights. We found a spot on the street the 3rd night. Also, none of the USB ports worked for our electronics. The stove gave us some trouble. It wouldn’t stay on, making it difficult to cook.
