I’ve been coming to Mexico since 1965 and I know what to expect. The Galaxy is perfect for me because of its proximity to the town center, it’s clean, my room was quiet, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the owner, Maria, is cheerful and very accommodating! My room didn’t have a closet or chest of drawers or screens on the windows, but it did have a big floor fan. Honestly I chose this hotel because of a terrible review it had received, seriously. I wanted to see if it was what the nasty reviewer wrote it was. It wasn’t. I didn’t come to beautiful Oaxaca to stay in my room!

The hotel lighting was very bad, nobody to help you with your suitcase, no elevator, no outlets to charge cell phones, my room was next to the street and there was a lot of noise. I asked for another room, but the one they offered me was very small and I was told it didn't have hot water. My bed looked like the housekeeper did not change the sheets before I got in
