Not having direct access to the sea

A bit retro, furniture needs updating, water in the larger pool is cold. Snacks during the day are monotonous, always the same. Limited meat options for lunch and dinner, practically only fish, dessert is almost the same for every meal. Beds were made and clean towels provided for the first two days, then only trash was taken out for the next two days. The bathroom could use modernization, the anti-slip and enamel in the bathtub are worn out, making it look dirty. Cocktails are served in regular soft drink glasses, not very elegant or tasteful.

Air conditioning in the first room was not working. After a complaint, we were given another room where the air conditioning worked but made a lot of noise that could not be fixed. Hotel is quite far from the city center.

The hotel is located in a fantastic location, right on the ocean shore and very close to Cabo Girao. The facilities are great (several pools, gym, billiards, even a library!). The food is great, sufficient and in a significant variety. There are also several restaurants on site. But what makes the difference is not all the facilities I’ve mentioned, but the personnel which is amazing! Super friendly, helpful and ready to help at all times. Special thanks to Laura who is a truly dedicated person that makes you feel welcome! Thank you very much, it was an incredible stay and we would definitely come again!

The only little thing I would improve is to be a bit more careful when placing a family with a 10-month-old baby right over the music scene.
