The apartment is in a relatively central location, with many of Almaty’s main sights and central squares within a pleasant 10–15-minute walk. There are also several shops, cafés and other useful amenities nearby. We received very detailed and clear instructions regarding the check-in process, as well as plenty of useful information about both the apartment and the city. This made our arrival easy and helped us during our stay. The apartment itself is not particularly spacious, but it is practical and equipped with everything needed for a short stay. It has a small kitchenette and a washing machine, which proved especially useful during our few days in Almaty. The bed was comfortable, and we also enjoyed the lovely view from the apartment. The bathroom was rather small. We managed without any difficulty, but it could be less comfortable for taller or larger guests. Overall, we were satisfied with the apartment we chose. There were a few things that made the check-out experience less pleasant than expected. I have been using Booking.com for many years and have stayed in many different types of accommodation, but I have never before been asked to take out my own garbage, wash the dishes and take photos/videos of the condition of the apartment before leaving. I found these requirements quite unusual, especially considering that a cleaning fee is normally included in the accommodation price. I completely understand leaving the apartment reasonably tidy, but having guests perform cleaning tasks and document the condition of the property themselves felt more like an additional responsibility than a normal check-out procedure for an apartment booked through Booking.com. Overall, the apartment itself was nice and comfortable, but I believe the check-out requirements could be made much more guest-friendly.
