Very well-equipped apartment and ideally located to discover Funchal or take the ferry to Porto Santo. The bed is also very comfortable.

Musty smell from the pillows, unpleasant and persistent noise, most likely associated with the ventilation of neighboring apartments. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom. After reporting some of the issues via Booking's SMS, I did not receive any response from the manager (Joana).

Clean room, very central location in Funchal with restaurants, bakeries, and shopping just 40 meters away, very comfortable. Really good. Covered parking 50 meters away.

Check-in time is 4.30 pm, but we had to wait (cleaning personnel) and could only access 1 hour later. The private parking procedure is a hassle, time-consuming, complicated (payment, finding/access to the parking building). We did not get an answer whether we could access the parking prior to the check-in time so we had to park in a public parking house and therefore had to pay extra. Cleanliness is an issue... (shower) :(
