The property entrance should be permanently lit as we found it very unerving trying to enter the building ,then find the lights to get to the staircase/lift (which had been left open on 4th floor) we could not use thus having to lug suit cases up four flights of stairs trying to find switches for timed lighting as we went.When we got to the 4th floor we then had to use our phone light to see the key safe,On entering our room it was quite pleasant,but no milk had been left for us to make a cup of tea/coffee.There was a station coffee bar opposite,but due to alot of undesirable people hanging around i did not fell safe,then have to go through the experience of getting back to my room.The doors to the room were very flimsy so we left our cases popped up against them for a bit more security.We arrived at 9.30 pm(we had notified Hotel of our expected late arrival)i do think someone should have been there to meet us

Furnishing of the room too simple and poor. Historic building with a decadent appearance, poorly maintained and with unclean stairs (handrails and elevator).

I left my luggage with a smile without stress and was treated to coffee. I received a city map with marked locations. Large room with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, fridge... oh the cleanliness 👍❤️ Just want to go back there.
