Stalida is a place on the north coast that is not too overrun by large hotel complexes. The beach is a 10-minute walk away. It is nice because it is not too crowded. A street with small shops and restaurants is very pleasant in May. Nearby supermarkets allow you not to take the car.

This coast has been heavily damaged by mass tourism infrastructure. You have to love the beach or enjoy driving to discover the island. Heraklion is 'ugly'. But you have to go there just for its archaeological museum, which is really worth it.

A house outside the town, quiet and peaceful, but close to shops, the beach, and the public transport stop. Clean pool at the back of the house, providing privacy. Air conditioning, two terraces, so you could always find shade. Well-equipped kitchen with appliances.

There were only shampoo and hand soap among the cosmetics, a jug for drinks was missing, and there were a few plates. The entrance to the property is through the villa Katarina's area, which was a surprise when we arrived at night.
