The host response was not timely and when I pointed this out to her, she got an attitude and was not receptive to the customer feedback I gave her. I called and messaged her via WhatsApp, I never got her, we had to ask the security attendant to call her. Which he did. I sent a WhatsApp message in real-time on the phone while speaking with her, when I asked her if she saw the message, she said yes. I asked her what did the message say, she said she was at work and didn’t have the phone with her. Additionally, I was in the company of my family member and hired driver who heard the way she spoke to me, which was not favorable. She then proceeded to cancel my booking via text a few minutes later, while I’m right there at the property in the nearby vicinity waiting to get into my room and cited that she didn’t think me staying at this venue would be a good fit. Terrible customer experience. :( This is terrible customer service! Leaving me high and dry after flying several hundred miles from New England to the Caribbean! I had to go find another hotel at the last minute. :( As a healthcare provider, real estate developer, and Fellow Airbnb owner, I can definitely say that Shana- She definitely needs to learn to be a little bit more teachable and understand how to appease her customers when verbalizing that their expectations are not being met. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. The place was exactly what we were looking for, with amazing views that made it easy to relax and enjoy Jamaica. It was nice being away from the typical resort experience because it gave us the chance to explore the local communities, eat at local spots, and see a more authentic side of the island. We were on the 3rd floor with other apartments so it wasn't isolated. There was 24/7 security which made us feel even safer. The keypad entry allowed us to have peace of mind. As women traveling, anything adding to safety is a plus! The pool and gym were such a nice addition. The apartment was fully furnished and modern living. The WiFI was very fast and reliable. Was even able to still access it when at the pool area. It was 1 and 1/2 baths which was perfect. The AC cooled the place really well. The kitchen had all the equipment you would need. The host also arranged a taxi driver for us, and he was fantastic. He was always responsive, never overcharged us, and had some of the best rates we found. He was reliable, friendly, and made getting around the island completely stress-free. Overall, this Airbnb gave us a much better experience than staying at an all-inclusive resort. If you're looking to experience the real Jamaica while still having a comfortable place to stay with incredible views, this is a great choice. We'd happily stay here again.
