We (my wife and I) stayed one night at Taj Classic. Our plan was to stay here overnight and visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise the next morning. The location is very convenient, as it is only a little over 1 km walking distance to the Eastern Gate. The hotel is also away from the busy main roads of Agra, so the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The room, AC, and WiFi were all working well, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The manager who looks after the property is doing a great job. We were also fortunate to meet the owner of the property, who is a very kind-hearted gentleman. I would definitely recommend this place to any foreigner looking for a budget-friendly and comfortable stay in Agra.

The bathroom is unacceptable. The shower head is so calcified that it threatens to explode as soon as the tap is turned on. The toilet paper roll has rust stains and everything else is rusty. Even the bedsheet was dirty and the trash not emptied!
The location was excellent. The east gate of Taj Mahal was just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff- Mr. Anil and Mr. Gulshan- have been super helpful and amiable. The food was quite good. Breakfast was included in our package, and it was tasty. The tea was also very good. Outside food was also allowed.
