Free shuttle to and from PEK to the hotel and back! Good communication with the front desk staff using WeChat. The translation function within WeChat made communication easy. Very nice room! 533RMB. Great choice of hotel when in transit. I had a 19-hour layover! Got the first shuttle, which was actually a super nice limousine-like van, at 6:15 am from the airport. Had booked the cheapest room, but because they had been full the previous night, I would have had to wait for a room to get ready. I was offered a room upgrade for 100RMB more that I could have immediately. So I took it. Good choice! Impeccable room! Very good aircon, comfortable bed, great shower!

Chinese Internet! No Google, no Yahoo mail, no Gmail, no WhatsApp. Impossible to communicate with my family at home. Of course, this is not the hotel's fault!
