The pool was very clean and well-maintained, but there were major facility issues.

Standard quality for this hotel tier.
The bed was exceptionally comfortable, contributing to a good night's rest.
The gym is impeccable, but missing basic amenities like a kettle initially.

A small hotel, a little hidden behind a large gate. Very nicely laid out inside, cozy and almost family-like, with very helpful staff.

I recently stayed at Isglo Hotel Ikoyi. While there were highlights to my stay, several facility issues prevent me from giving a higher rating. The Positives: Professional Staff: The highlight of the stay was the team. Every staff member I encountered was professional, courteous, and highly responsive to my requests. Fitness & Leisure: The gym is truly impeccable—one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel of this size. The pool was also very clean and well-maintained. Room Comfort: The bed was exceptionally comfortable, which made for a good night's rest despite the other disturbances.

The Negatives: Major Concerns: False Advertising & Breakfast Quality: There is a serious issue with misinformation regarding their breakfast policy. On Booking.com, it is claimed that breakfast is complimentary for the total number of guests on the booking. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that 'complimentary' breakfast only covers one person per room. This is blatant false advertisement. Booking.com should not allow such misinformation, as it influences a guest's decision to book. Furthermore, the breakfast itself was not a buffet; it was a set menu with only 2 or 3 limited options to choose from. While the hotel staff were gracious enough to resolve the matter by letting the kids eat for free, I still had to pay for an additional adult's meal. Serious Safety Concern (Shower Door): This was the most distressing part of the stay. The sliding glass door in the bathroom broke while my son was bathing. This was a major safety hazard that could have resulted in a serious injury. Infrastructure Issues Power Supply Issues: The electricity went off several times in a single night. While I understand power fluctuations occur, the transition to the solar inverter or generator was incredibly slow. We were left in total darkness for at least 2 minutes during every interval, which is unacceptable for a hotel in this category. Room Amenities: I was surprised to find no kettle in the room upon arrival. Although the staff provided one quickly once asked, this is a basic amenity that should be standard in every room. Verdict: The staff are doing an excellent job, but they are being let down by the building's infrastructure. If the hotel fixes the power transition speed and conducts a thorough safety audit of the bathroom fixtures, it would be a top-tier choice. Until then, I would advise parents with young children to be cautious.
