This was my second stay at Bayon Modern Residence, and once again, I had a wonderful experience. The staff gave me such a warm and friendly welcome, which made me feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived. The food was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff and customer service were genuinely excellent, and our driver in particular was phenomenal. The room was spacious and was kept organized during our stay; towels were replaced and the trash was removed regularly. Unfortunately, that is where the positives ended for us.

This hotel and our room were absolutely not what I would consider a 4-star property. Based on the room and amenities, I would personally rate it closer to a 2-star hotel. The room itself was extremely basic, and even something as simple as hand soap was not provided at the bathroom sink. The quality of the shampoo and body wash was also far below what I would expect from a hotel advertising itself at this level. More concerning was the cleanliness. When we arrived, there were fake eyelashes and strands of hair stuck to the bathroom wall. That immediately made us question how thoroughly the room had actually been cleaned before check-in. We also had dinner delivered to our room one evening. Afterward, the dirty dishes were placed outside our room and remained there for days, despite housekeeping regularly passing through the area. For a hotel presenting itself as a 4-star property, that was especially disappointing. Another major issue was the noise early in the morning. The nearby call to prayer was extremely loud and woke us very early. Obviously this is not something the hotel controls, but guests should be aware of it when deciding whether to stay here, especially if they are light sleepers or traveling with children. Overall, the staff were wonderful and deserve credit for their service, but the condition, cleanliness, amenities, and overall standard of the hotel did not come remotely close to the 4-star rating we expected.

I had a great stay at Bayon Modern Residence. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast every morning, with a good variety of delicious food to choose from. The hotel coffee was excellent and one of my favorite parts of the stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect place to rest after exploring Siem Reap. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Bayon Modern Residence to anyone visiting the area. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
