not isolated at all, you can hear everything in the hallways regardless of some travelers speaking very loudly in the hallways at 7 am, dark room, the windows are embedded in a kind of U shape that the hotel forms, zero view! the bathroom is too small and the breakfast included in the rate is not an unlimited buffet, you have to choose a drink and a dish at the bar, that's all otherwise you have to pay

Similar to other reviews, the rooms are not very big but the double room I booked was comfortable for one. The room layout and design is very thoughtful and intentional. I appreciate not having gross hotel carpet and linoleum flooring which is so much more hygienic! The compact fold-out desk was the perfect size. The hotel covered up the ugly AC unit with a console, turning it into the serving area. Thoughtful shelving (although we could use more). The front desk and cafe/bar staff are amazing. I appreciated being across the street from Union Station for easy access to the airport and all the convenience shops you need (although the PATH is easy to get lost in - LOL). The hotel is modern and funky, with a cool retro vibe. Lots of places to sit in the reception area for those who need more space. And very easy for a rideshare to pick up and drop off, while being super close to the train station. And despite the areas for improvement I noted below, I would definitely stay here again.

The food at the restaurant is definitely overpriced for what you get (my egg sandwich, while tasty, was not well presented, with the omelette simply sliding right out of the croissant upon slicing). There are some small details within my room that need further review, such as: no outlets near the desk so my laptop had to be charged elsewhere in the room, which was not ideal (and weird). In addition, there was no outlet near the kettle so that also had to be plugged in on the nightstand or on the floor on the other side of the room (it also had a very short cable). While I love the concept of pour-over coffee bags, the coffee was weak and terrible tasting. Although the bathroom was petite and too small for two people, for a solo traveller, it was perfect. But you could replace one of the wall pictures with more shelving and widen the bathroom countertop (plenty of room for this). The sink was VERY small, as was the counter. There is no safe box (also odd) and the room could use more drawers (only two) but I loved the layout of the open closet and shelving that even a shorter person (like me) could reach. Watch out for a double room, though, as they all face the back, and the waste management trucks do pick up a few times a week -- around 4:30 to 5 AM, and it is loud! The AC is also very loud, which helps to offset. And last but not least, for housekeeping -- while great -- they did not replace the towels they took, and this took more than one call to resolve (and it still was unresolved).

The staff are amazing. Full of knowledge about the city and ideas of places for us to see. Shout out to Milo and Joe in the lounge. They are the reason I will come back. They're so fun, and so caring. They both made our visit feel like home. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch.

Very good location as it is just across the street a bit from Union Station. We had a king bed and it was very comfortable. The room has a small fridge and a small sitting area. The lobby is quite inviting, with lots of comfy couches and chairs to hang around and it has a lounge and tiny restaurant with limited offerings. There are loads of places for food and drink very close by and it is close for hockey and baseball fans.
