It is conveniently located a short walking distance to the Royal Mile. They had a good continental breakfast and excellent staff. The room was good sized and easily accessed by a lift.

I stayed here last year and it is a perfect location, being just across from Waverley Station and between the old and new towns. The rooms are modern, the staff very friendly and helpful, the lifts are good and the help-yourself breakfast is varied and plentiful in a relaxed seating arrangement.

I had a small room at the back this time, so felt a bit hemmed in by the close proximity of the other buildings. The windows could do with net curtains for more privacy. There was no socket anywhere near the mirror, and the kettle had to be plugged in to a socket that the lead didn't reach from the desk. Although I didn't need to use the safe, I had to lock it as it gaped wide open all the time and was between the bed and the bathroom door.

I had a car and they do not have onsite parking. The parking garage is a 15 min walk from the hotel. But they are in Downtown Edinburgh close to everything.
