we paid the same price as the previous night at Elk + Avenue! even considering that we paid for 4 when we were only 2, I think that for a Youth Hostel, Banff Intern'l is making fun of people
The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and easy to access. Towels and soap are provided free of charge.

There is not much of a communal area where you would meet new people like other hostels. It has more of a motel-like feel. There was no way to lock the bathroom door. Parking spaces may sometimes be insufficient.
