Rooms described as clean in one review; another review notes shabby/deteriorating room surfaces (paint marks, peeling) but not explicit dirt—overall cleanliness generally acceptable.
Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and welcoming; some communication issues (clear breakfast info only given late) but overall service is a clear positive.
Multiple mentions of convenient location: ~10 min walk to downtown, close to wharf, stores and nearby restaurants—area itself noted as 'not great' but location is convenient for sightseeing/transport.
Several negative comments: rooms dated and shabby with paint peeling, loose floorboards; AC problems (room boiling hot at check-in), though beds reported comfortable.
Significant amenity issues: AC took hours to cool, no cold drinking water or ice available, inconsistent hot water in shower; wifi cited as consistent (minor positive).
Not directly commented on (no explicit price/value statements); one reviewer implies it's suitable only for a short stopover but no clear value judgement provided.
Breakfast availability was unclear and only clarified on the last morning for one guest; additionally lack of cold drinking water/ice reflects poorly on F&B provisions.
Mixed overall impression: friendly staff and convenient location balanced against dated/shabby rooms and key amenity failures (AC, water), making it more suitable for short stays rather than extended comfort.
Room was boiling hot when we checked in, took 3 hours for the AC to cool down the room. No cold water to drink, no ice.

Staff friendly and helpful. Although it was only on the last morning that I got a clear answer about the breakfast availability. Convenient location but not a great area. Luckily we had a room with a good view but the room itself was shabby, paint marked and peeling, floorboards loose and floor sloped. Shower didn't have hot water consistently. Wifi consistent and bed comfy. Is definitely a place to only spend a night or two before further travel.

Location is 10 min walk to downtown Papeete. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and staff is welcoming. We only stayed the one night but it's within walking distance to Hotel Kontiki which has a restaurant and across the street is a store that sells individual drinks and snacks as well as supplies in bulk. Short walking distance to the wharf.

Overall, stay was good, but the room we got didn’t look at all like the picture on the website, or on our reservation document. Dated, very little sitting room, breakfast buffet with limited choice and overpriced.

I just needed a place to sleep before heading to Moorea. Couldn't even do that. The loudest!!! Hotel I have ever stayed in. It's extremely worn down. I gave it 2 stars for the great hot water and pressure. There was music and motorcycles blasting all night!!
