The cleanliness was completely unacceptable. There was an extremely large amount of hair in the shower drain. It was genuinely disgusting and clearly showed that the shower had not been properly cleaned before our arrival.

It is very basic in services, but at a hotel price. The TV was broken, they did not provide solutions

Location was decent, about a 15 min walk to the subway. Rooms were a decent size, beds comfy enough and the room itself pretty quiet. Totally fine for a short stay and good value for money. They did let me check-in early which was appreciated. It didn't seem to be a very social hostel if that's what you're looking for.

One lady in my room either seemed to live there or be staying very long term, so her stuff took up like half the room. It also gave the room a bit of a weird vibe. Both nights someone was talking super loudly constantly all night, until like 5am. Not sure if it was someone in reception, but it did keep me awake both nights at times. You have to give a $10 cash deposit for the sheets and you have to make your own bed which is tricky on a top bunk. I didn't have any cash but they let me leave my drivers license there until I returned the sheets.

The location was perfect, room was spacious and cute. The hostel does not close at any time, and there is always someone at the front desk. There's a kitchen and shared fridge if needed, as well as a communal area to hangout in and in the back. There were also flyers for nightly things to join in on for people staying for a long while.

Do be cautious it is on a steep hill, and there is no elevator available inside the building, there's also no smoking in the patio area nor in the back since there are rooms and windows all around.

Room near the kitchen, poor soundproofing and other noisy guests even in the middle of the night. Not recommended if you have light sleep
