Top, if you want to go to the Old Town. You can reach the Old Town in a 10-15 minute walk (about 180 steps downhill and some distance without stairs). If you don't feel like walking back up, you can also take a bus (bus stop 5 minutes away) or simply a taxi/Uber (about 12 euros). The room was functionally equipped, the bed and mattress were good. We booked a room with a sea view, in the distance (!) you could also see the sea, otherwise just more apartments, but due to the heat, we kept the shutters closed the whole time. The terrace was nice and could be used. There you could relax in the evening away from the crowds. Around the corner, a 5-minute walk away, there is a bakery and a small supermarket.

We received little to no responses to our messages. When we stood at the door, there were two doorbells. No one answered the lower bell. We then called directly, and an older gentleman let us in. He was not unfriendly but seemed annoyed. What you need to know: You cannot drive up with a car, not even to unpack your luggage, as there are small alleys everywhere that are only accessible on foot. You also have to climb a few stairs in the alley to get to the apartment, but it's okay. On a Sunday, you could possibly park in front of the alley at Mazda to unload your luggage. About 300m away, there is a public parking garage: 40 euros for 24 hours. If you want to use it, you must go to the ground floor within 15 minutes after entering the parking garage and exchange the ticket. The staff is extremely unfriendly (and you only see their hands). Otherwise, it's 7 euros per hour! Best to visit the Old Town between 7 - 9 am to avoid crowds! We escaped and took bus line 4 or 6 to the west of the city to Lipad. It was quieter and more beautiful there.

The communication was very poor with both the language and location of our room. It was very difficult to find them when we needed to locate things in the room that weren't there.

The villa was quiet, secure, and clean. We wish we had the opportunity to make use of the outdoor loungers and sun chairs in the shared patio area. AC was strong and worked. It was a convenient 15-minute walk from the Dubrovnik Pile Gate (albeit a lot of stairs).

The apartment was small! For two, it will be quite a squeeze especially with baggage on the floor. There were ants in the bathroom, even though we didn't eat in the apartment. When we asked our host for taxi services for an early morning flight from the airport, she was really slow to respond, so I wouldn't expect too much help from the hosts. Towels weren't left for us in the room, which we had to mention to get. Considering the price we paid for our stay in Aug, we were expecting a bit better. Also, be aware that there are stairs leading to this accommodation, which wouldn't make this a good choice for those with issues climbing stairs or minor injuries! Even if you were to take a taxi to this villa, expect to climb stairs for another 1-2 mins from the street and then another 1 flight of stairs once in the complex.
