Many guests had a wonderful experience, despite some service issues.
This was our first trip to Key West, and we finally decided on the Marquesa Hotel. Even though the reviews were glowing, we were pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our room. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the large shower had great water pressure. The staff were friendly and eager to help. The hotel is a block from Duval Street (the main street in old Key West) and fairly centrally located. The first night, we ate at the Marquesa Cafe and we were not disappointed. Everything we ordered that night was amazing, as was the service. We would definitely stay here again!

The Marquesa was in a perfect location, yet quiet and cozy. The first night in town we had dinner at the Marquesa Cafe. The meal was fabulous, best we had on the trip. We enjoyed our private balcony and also the warm swimming pool a few steps outside the door. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return to the Marquesa again in the future.

This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine at their gorgeous pool gardens but also be easily walkable to the hustle and bustle of key west. The staff was so kind and accommodating, room was very nice and clean, customer service was excellent. There was afternoon iced tea bar and homemade key lime pie cookies every afternoon in the lobby that I’ll think about forever bc it was so delicious.

Horrible service. Horrible quality control Expired coconut water 2025 Expired candy Everything expired. Charging way too much and they don’t care about the Consumer. They only care about their wallets and how much money they can make. My friend stayed in the sister building and they experienced jackhammers going off first thing Saturday morning construction repairs why wouldn’t they schedule that for a weekday? Oh, they did it on a weekday as well Friday, but he let them slide till Saturday came and they did it again so he had to go to the front desk and say what the heck is going on here we’re paying premium amounts of money and we have to be woken up at 7:30 in the morning from a jackhammer shaking our entire room ridiculous I was beside myself when he told me this. But this is what happens when you go to a family-owned place they don’t care about anything except how much money they’re making. Horrible customer service. Way overpriced no consideration at all. Just letting the general public know so that they are aware of what to expect if they decide to stay here find another place you can do much better than the Marquesa.

This is a fine hotel in a very good location. however, it is significantly overpriced even for pricey Key West. Our room in the annex was clean and comfortable, but inconveniently located across the street and down the block from the main hotel with its sitting room, front desk, better grounds/pools, and restaurant. The restaurant was understaffed with a single server at breakfast some days. They need to up their game.

For this review, I will just list several deficiencies of the Hotel Marquesa in Key West. It is not worth my energy to do more. upon arrival, the air conditioning did not work in our room. Turns out the filters were so dirty they prevented the system from working Very few towels in the bathroom. Mold in the bathtub caulking. staff was rude- when asked to help arrange a golf cart rental, was told “just do it yourself online “ 4. no service at the pool. On the third day someone came with cookies and sangria in the afternoon. No way to order food or drinks. 5. The TV in the bedroom only received one channel 6. Water pressure was so low that both hot and cold taps were required to be open full in order to brush teeth. 7. In general no customer service of any kind. To pay almost $1000/ night for a suite in what was purported to be the best hotel in Key West, one would expect more. We cannot recommend this property to anyone and will never stay there again.

Great hotel. We picked it almost at random and loved it. Great location…3 minute walk to all the action on Duval but quiet. Staff was super friendly and room as very nice. Pool areas were very nice and well kept.

We had another lovely stay at this oasis on Key West. The staff and accommodations were outstanding. We also love the location, as it is centrally situated to our favorite haunts and restaurants.
