The pools were excellent. Beach is beautiful. The only downside was the vendors that approach guests on the beach. The staff was friendly but some were a little less interactive than what we have experienced at Excellence resorts in Mexico. Well worth the money and I would definitely go again.

Stacy and Rocio from the pool service was phenomenal, Randy and Natanael from the grill and agave restaurants were great as customer service. Food was not great, need more simple things like a salad bar, regular meat too. Besides the food, hotel clean and the service was great.

This hotel was quiet and peaceful. Very relaxing. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The food was okay. The drinks were good. I would recommend this hotel if you’re just looking to relax and just have a peaceful quiet vacation.

We’ve always wanted to stay at an Excellence property — and wow, are we lucky we chose Excellence El Carmen! We’ve visited several all-inclusive resorts and this was our third trip to Punta Cana for our anniversary, but this stay was absolutely spectacular. It helped that we visited during the off-peak season, yet the property and amenities were worth every single penny. This resort is the perfect place for couples. My husband and I went on what felt like lunch and dinner dates every day — just the two of us enjoying amazing food, great vibes, and each other’s company. Since there’s only one buffet and everything else is à la carte, the resort maintains a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere. At the same time, there are plenty of relaxed options by the pool and beach, which we loved. The service was top-notch from start to finish — friendly, attentive, and seamless. I’m usually someone who believes in trying new resorts each time we travel, but Excellence El Carmen changed my mind. This is one all-inclusive we’ll definitely be coming back to. The crowd, the food, the ambiance, the vibes, and the service — all of it made this trip unforgettable and absolutely worth it. ⭐ 10/10 — Highly recommend for couples looking for a romantic, luxurious, and relaxing getaway.

The resort was very lovely, view from the room was nice, far from the ocean, but we were able to see it. The beach was nice, they didn't really take care of it the way I have experienced at other resorts. Lots of seaweed came in and piled up on the shore, they just left it. Whereas most hotels I've been to rake it up daily and smooth out the sand. But it was still nice to just sit on the beach and relax
