Please leave lights in the hallway so the place doesn’t feel so dead and empty. The breakfast buffet needs better choices and better quality. We paid for breakfast but only went once.

Great property. Large resort. Wish there was air freshener in the toilet. The pool is beautiful, with plenty of sunny and shady areas to sit. Large breakfast buffet, although it was missing hot chocolate and Nutella. Staff is friendly.

This hotel is quite nice. We got a very spacious room with a balcony overlooking the Mekong River. Amenities were superb. Mattress and pillows were comfy, and sheets were clean. Only complaint about the room is that the floor was rather dusty and dirty, especially under the furniture and around the legs of chairs. The restaurants serve excellent food. The included breakfast was very nice with a good spread. Yue Yuen Chinese Restaurant served really authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. We also had dinner at the Lobby Bar and Restaurant and tried some nice Laotian food. While the food and drinks were very good, the experience was marred by a bizarre incident - a young man approached us as we were eating, unfurled a Russian flag, introduced himself as being from Russia, and said he had something to show us. As he was reaching into his bag, it occurred to us that he could be a security risk. We hastily told him we were not interested, and thankfully, he left without causing any trouble. The restaurant staff just stood by and watched the entire incident and did not intervene. We felt it was not nice or safe to allow an uninvited stranger to harass your customers right inside a reputable hotel.

It is a very spacious and large hotel. You can see Thailand across the Mekong River from the room. It's great for a relaxing stay in the room. However, it's far from the downtown area, so it took us 30 minutes to walk to the night market. A taxi is necessary. There was a shuttle bus service from the hotel, but it had limited hours. It required a reservation at least one hour in advance. It would have been good to use it effectively. When we tried to order room service, a hamburger that was listed as $5 on the menu turned out to be $11. The price difference was too much, so we decided not to order. There are too many guest rooms to correct, but it's disappointing. This is the impression of an ordinary person staying at a five-star hotel.

I think it's a hotel where you can stay slowly and quietly. Since there is nothing around, you can't walk anywhere. I used a tuk-tuk to get around. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the downtown area, so I didn't have any trouble. The breakfast menu was rich and enjoyable, and everything was delicious, so my physical condition was good for the day. Breakfast started at 5:30 a.m., which was helpful. The first train to Luang Prabang was at 7:30 a.m., so I had breakfast at 5:30 a.m., left the hotel at 6 a.m., arrived at Vientiane station before 7 a.m., and caught the 7:30 a.m. train.

After being in operation for some time, signs of aging in the facilities are evident, but the view of the Mekong River and the large pool enriched our stay. The staff were all friendly and attentive. It was disappointing to see staff taking food and drink breaks in a small resting area that was built into the large pool, even though there were few guests.
