Great restaurant, friendly staff and good parking.
Great restaurant, friendly staff and good parking.
Room facing the road with noisy traffic from early morning. Silly to direct us to the old hotel with a locked door and then up the hill to check in at the new hotel = poor information. Too small pillows and no extras. Very uncomfortable chairs. Maybe better in the new hotel.
Greeted by a pretty and kind receptionist, breakfast was phenomenal, location was amazing, away from the main city of Innsbruck but still able to enjoy the same views of the mountains.

Do not be fooled by the photos of the apparently beautiful typical Tyrolean structure, let alone by the name 'pension' which gives a sense of small/long because they have acquired everything from the Chinese managers, who are certainly not suited for managing such a thing. The room was on the -1 floor, with crazy humidity, the sheets were wet. The bed, very large and quite comfortable, but you can see that it has been 'patched up' in some way and where it was cut, they did not even bother to file the larger splinters, the wardrobe practically unusable. The shower head and faucet in horrible condition. There is not even an extractor fan, so even just the humidity from a shower all comes into the room. The first evening at check-in we had asked if we could have dinner, they said yes, the kitchen closed at 10. We sit down at the table, order 2 soups and a hamburger. The soups were horrible, the tomato soup tasted chemical. While mine absolutely did not reflect what should have been beef broth with slices of omelette (typical Austrian), in the broth there were pieces of raw zucchini and carrot and it was definitely made with stock cubes. The hamburger was not bad, while we had the fries returned because they were completely cold. But the best is yet to come... the waiter comes to take away our plates, after a few minutes we ask if he could bring us the dessert menu, but he replied that it was not possible because the kitchen was closed. Note that it was 10:07, but beyond the fact that the time is the time, when he took away our plates, could he not maybe remind us that the kitchen was about to close if we wanted dessert??? Honestly, it doesn't seem like an unreasonable request to me, it happens to me in most restaurants. A coldness, a truly annoying management. One positive thing was the breakfast, but I would say it is not enough to compensate.
It was relatively close to the motorway which was our prerequisite when looking for a hotel. Breakfast was bountiful.

The beds were solid rock. Very uncomfortable if you’re not very heavyset. One bathroom hook for a towel, where were the rest of us expected to hang our towels? Could be good to know that you need to look for the Das Mei hotel, rather than the Muttererhof. It was difficult to find the property as the Das Mei hotel basically has taken over the site. There was a small sign across the street when coming from the southern direction, but we only saw that because we passed the property and turned back when trying to find it. Then it turns out you check in at the Das Mei reception. Very complicated to figure this out if you arrive at 22:30 at night and are tired. That said, the staff where very helpful and kind when we finally found the place. They charged us a city tax at the property despite Booking.com notifying us that 'you have already paid and should not be asked to pay anything else at the property despite'. I don’t mind paying the city tax but if I pay at Booking.com before my arrival, I expect the tax to be included in that price.
