Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness and tidy rooms ('very clean', 'propreté'); overall housekeeping appears well maintained.
Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and well trained across reviews; assistance with guests' needs and management praised.
Prime position in Old Delhi and walking distance to attractions (Red Fort) is a strong positive, but access is difficult (narrow alleys), can be intimidating/unsafe at night and hard for cars/taxis.
Rooms described as comfortable, chic and fully equipped; architecture and restoration repeatedly noted as excellent.
Good cultural offerings (evening shows, traditional dance, live musicians, kite flying) and unique heritage features; some minor shortcomings noted (terrace area could be improved, limited free bottled water).
Several guests call out high prices (notably large wine markups), service charges on already expensive food and comments that price may not fully match what is provided.
Food and restaurant offerings receive consistent praise ('very good', 'lovely Indian food'), though F&B pricing and service charges draw criticism.
Overall sentiment is strongly positive—unique, beautiful heritage hotel with memorable ambience and great staff—tempered by access/noise/value issues noted by some guests.

A perfect oasis in the heart of Old Delhi to discover the capital in all its intensity while benefiting from accommodation in an incredible and quiet setting. This Haveli has been beautifully renovated and the view in the evening from the roof over the Jasma Majid and the kites is absolutely incredible. The staff is attentive and takes good care of its customers. Very good food!

Loved that both parts of the hotel were restored Havelis and all the ancient buildings and history around them. We wanted to be in Old Delhi, with its lanes and chaos to experience the ancient part of the city properly. Its location was an easy walk to the Red Fort and markets. The hotel staff were very helpful in obtaining and negotiating prices on vehicles to take us to restaurants and sights, which was great. The hotel suggests we didn’t give tips directly but just in a box in the hotel, which was less daunting for us.

The lane both parts of the hotel is located on is a bit narrow and grubby but as expected and part of the authentic experience which we actually appreciated. So we were happy. We did arrive in an unusually heavy end of monsoon time, so we and our bags were soaked walking from our taxi to the hotel but this was bad timing. The staff were helpful and charming.
Great breakfast and dinner. Aloo Puri was amazing.

The hotel driver wasn't there to pick me up from the airport. I got through passport control very quickly and he hadn't arrived on time.
