Sofitel Hongqiao was superb - beautifully designed, elegant, and extremely well maintained. The entire property has a refined luxury feel, and everything from the lobby to the rooms is thoughtfully done. Service was exceptional. Every request was handled within minutes, including the check‑in and check‑out process, which was impressively fast and smooth. The staff were consistently attentive, warm, and professional. The location is a major advantage. Being very close to Hongqiao High‑Speed Train Station and Hongqiao Airport makes travel incredibly convenient. Cafés, malls, and dining options nearby were an added benefit, making it easy to step out for food or coffee without needing long commutes. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I will certainly return to this property.

Breakfast is very good and with a lot of variety, a pleasure! The room was very large and spacious, but you can already see the years without renovating furniture, etc... Everything was very clean, but you can see the wear and tear and for this type of hotels it's a bit of a shame. The staff, well, very variable; some people treated us very well and others, to be honest, had a worse attitude towards us. But in general, they try to understand you and help.

The prices on the food menu were outdated, for beverages the actual price is almost double than what appears on the menu. Additionally, I requested early check-in and late check-out and I think the costs were very high and both were charged, each one was half the cost of one night.
