The staff were consistently very friendly, although somewhat less proactive, especially in the culinary area. The cleanliness of the rooms was definitely noticed positively, and the food & drinks were consistently impeccable and very appealing.

The management's reaction at the reception during check-in to my inquiry about why an additional night (2+1) in the exact same room suddenly became more than 60% more expensive than the individual nights before. We had already spent five nights at the same Hotel Mulberry before a stopover in Pokhara and spontaneously decided to stay there again. A weather-related closure of the airport in Pokhara had made it necessary for us to adjust our stay at the Mulberry accordingly. Since we had consumed a lot at this hotel over both stays, I was very disappointed at how they ultimately just charged the mentioned (arbitrary) surcharge for the additional night on the final bill. We will definitely come back to Kathmandu, but we will definitely not return to this hotel!
