I was a bit unlucky that it was a very warm night, so I had to keep the window open. In fact, the window had very good soundproofing, but without air cooling (which I understand is difficult in such a traditional architecture) and thus open windows, the inevitable sound level was high. In normal weather, with closed windows, it would probably not have been noticeable.
