Guest reviews

First stop of our road trip. Hotel with parking located in a semi-industrial area not very charming but has the merit of being quiet, close to the Bonus supermarket (great!) and about ten minutes walk from the center of Reykjavik and the waterfront. Clean, good beds and pillows, warm room, small but functional bathroom, satellite TV, Wi-Fi. Good full 'international' breakfast, various good types of bread, hot water available, friendly staff, available to provide information and a map of the capital. We paid 190.00 euros (September) and honestly, considering the prices in Iceland, good value for money!

The included breakfast was good and varied; there was a large game room for socializing, which was convenient for the end of the day. A small local cake was served daily at 5 p.m., along with unlimited coffee and tea available at any time. The room was clean and pleasant, though a bit small for four adults. The location was also excellent.

Oh, how can I put this... the hot water smelled of sulfur, so it was very unpleasant. It’s a 3-star hotel, so you shouldn't expect high-end luxury in the rooms.

There was coffee and tea available around the clock. The city center is about a 25-minute walk away. Free parking in front of the hotel. There was a game room with a ping pong table, Connect Four, and a very special 'darts game,' and a piano was also available.

The room was really worn out. The beds were uncomfortable and the very loud ventilation in the tiny and old bathroom ran 24/7 at an unbearable volume. The shower curtain (a 4.99€ model from Jysk) sticks to the skin the whole time while showering. The thermostat in the shower decides by itself what temperature comes out of the showerhead while showering. Not cool with about 100°C hot water. Except for one employee, all other female employees have a face like 10 days of continuous rain. A smile would be appropriate, then the guest wouldn't feel unwelcome. The room door must always be locked, as it can be opened from the outside and inside at any time. The sockets and light switches do not comply with any current standard and are partly life-threatening if you arrive with small children. Breakfast was available. More cannot be said about what was offered. In all the negativity, it must be honestly said that otherwise you probably won't find a hotel for 4 people and 3 nights including breakfast for 500€ in Reykjavik.
