There were issues with the shower causing water to flood the bathroom floor.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience.
The hotel is conveniently located next to Waverly train station and within walking distance to attractions.
Rooms were modern with lovely amenities, but some were somewhat small.
Features like the generous minibar and special touches such as a Dyson hairdryer were appreciated.
Some amenities seemed overpriced, but overall it was a good value.
Excellent breakfast and champagne, enhancing the experience.
Overall a highly satisfactory stay, with many positive aspects highlighted.
Market Street Hotel was the perfect location to literally everything. Old Town. New Town. Royal Mile. The Waverly Train Station, Pubs, Restaurants and shops. The atmosphere was so welcoming inside Market Street Hotel. The front desk staff, the staff in the lounge and housekeeping staff were incredibly warm, professional and personable. My room was just delightful. Extremely comfortable bed and seating. The mini fridge was complete with a variety beverages. Coffee and tea were also available should you choose to make yourself a morning up of either. Mirrors brought daylight and modern flare all around your room. Wonderful shower. Towels, robes slippers also provided. And a large enough umbrella for those famous Scottish Rains.. Clean and ever so quiet. Another plus I personally loved wss the ability to adjust the temperature of the room. The air- conditioning as very quiet.. not always a feature in many hotels. I all most hate to share how much I loved this Hotel and it's staff.. because once you visit Edinburgh, you will want to go back. It's a city to fall in love with.

Amazing location to get around the whole city with world class facilities and service. Champagne breakfasts with a stunning view of the city is a must every morning.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Market Street hotel and had an excellent experience. The hotel is conveniently located near the Railway so if commuting to Edinburgh via train you are just a 5 minute walk away. I was worried that it might be loud due to its proximity, not at all! I didn’t hear any trains throughout our 3 night stay. Additionally, it’s in a centralized location for walking! Every landmark, restaurant or point of interest was within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We were so pleased by this. The decor and room itself was lovely. Very fresh and clean. When we walked in we both said “oh wow.” Some fun retro decor mixed with elegant furniture and amenities. Truly beautiful. The amenities were also great. We received welcome champagne, snacks and treats in the room (that were refilled daily by the housekeeping team), slippers, and cozy bathrobes. This is a hotel I strongly recommend and will definitely return to during my next trip to Edinburgh.

This is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are clean and relatively spacious. Location is perfect. I've never been at a hotel before that provided a flat iron for your hair, such a nice touch. The free minibar was also great. Can't beat the location.

We absolutely loved our stay at Market Street Hotel. We spent two nights here at the beginning of our trip to Scotland, and it was the perfect place to start. Every member of the staff was genuinely warm and welcoming, and their hospitality set the tone for our entire visit. The rooms were spectacular. They strike that perfect balance of feeling modern, luxurious, and just the right amount of bougie chic without being over the top. The location is hard to beat. It's literally across the street from Waverley Station, which made arriving and departing incredibly easy, and it's only about a two minute walk to the Royal Mile with endless restaurants, pubs, and attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return without hesitation. If we're back in Edinburgh, this is where we'll stay.

A lovely modern hotel in Edinburgh within walking distance of many sites and restaurants. Very quiet location even though it’s in the heart of the city. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Staff was fabulous at check in and breakfast. Highly recommend

I absolutely loved my stay at Market Street Hotel..they made my 40th birthday trip special with some lovely cookies and birthday card in my room. In my opinion this is the best location right next to Waverley Station, central to all transit options and perfect to reach all of the city has to offer. Staff is so lovely…I had breakfast included which was such a great selection of items to choose from. The room category cozy was plenty of space and had some unique touches. Overall I highly recommend this hotel! Who doesn’t love a champagne offered at welcome and every day for breakfast!

Excellent location, perfectly situated between the Old Town and New Town, making all of Edinburgh’s major attractions easily walkable. We especially appreciated how quiet the room was, and the sliding wooden shade provided complete blackout conditions, helping us recover from jet lag after just one night. While the room (Artist’s Vista) was on the smaller side, it was thoughtfully appointed, and we enjoyed the complimentary minibar. Overall, it was an excellent stay.
