Absolutely unacceptable experience – think very carefully before booking We booked this property for our parents for what was supposed to be a special holiday. Instead, it became by far the worst part of their entire trip. For approximately €300 per night, what they received was completely unacceptable. The room was extremely small, dirty, unhygienic and had an unpleasant smell. The breakfast was poor, and our parents felt extremely uncomfortable both inside the property and in the surrounding area. After only one night, they called us extremely upset and told us they simply could not stay there any longer. They left the next day and had to arrange alternative accommodation. The only positive point we can honestly mention is the staff working at the hotel. They were friendly and kind. Unfortunately, our experience with the management was completely different. When we contacted management and asked for a reasonable solution, we were told that we had supposedly booked a “discounted” rate and had not purchased “insurance”. That explanation is nonsense. There was no meaningful discount at all, and we were never offered any relevant insurance option that would somehow justify the way management handled this situation. What we find especially disturbing is the enormous difference between the glowing online reviews and the reality our parents experienced. Based on what they personally encountered, we seriously question how these ratings and reviews can possibly reflect the true standard of this property. The discrepancy is extraordinary. This matter is not over. We have documented everything and are going to take formal legal action. Management will hear from us again through the legal and consumer channels. This was supposed to be a wonderful holiday for our parents. Instead, they were so distressed that they left after a single night. We absolutely cannot recommend this property.
