Vegetarians choice of food was very limited.Rooms carpet were deteriorated & are over due for renovation including the interior and furniture with in the rooms.

My room was never cleaned or beds made unless I specifically asked, nor was the room ever vacuumed. Beds were uncomfortable and no doona was provided, just a very old thin blanket. Bathtub was rusted where the drain was. New soap, coffee and sugar were not replaced when finished. Main pool was closed the entire stay which meant my youngest daughter couldn't swim at all as the other poolswere too deep. Remote for the TV was taken by cleaning staff on the third day and my personal moisturiser cream was also taken by cleaning staff.

The location was great,was only a minute walk to the Cairns esplanade, and I was appreciated the security.

It was a shame the larger pool was closed for maintainance, but we did have access to the other pools.

The beds were comfortable and staff were friendly. The pool near reception was nice and there was plenty of seating.

The amenities for food preparation were a bit poor. Only a kettle, bar fridge and a couple mugs. Would have been better if there was some cutlery and bowls to use for simple meals. The remote for the tv in our room also needed replacing.

Very disappointed as I had requested rooms on same floor but one was on 10th floor and the other 3rd floor and unable to go to each others floors easily. The couple on the 10th floor needed assistance from the people on 3rd floor. TV was a little hard to work. Three people in the room but only 2 cups and 2 glasses. Had to ring and request another set and it was brought to us quickly.

The lagoon pool was closed for all of our stay. This was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. The bar and restaurant needed modernising and totally lacked atmosphere.
