The hotel is in a peaceful and private setting with the loveliest pool I have seen in a long time. We only stayed one night so didn't explore far but we did take the bus into town for the afternoon and that was easily done. The restaurant on site is lovely with a good menu and excellent quality of food. We stayed in the Carriage House and it was spacious, clean, and well laid out with a patio that was only a short walk from the pool.

If you were planning to stay for any length of time then a car would be essential. While you may feel like walking downhill to the beach, I can guarantee that there is no way you will want to walk back up and other than the beach and a short trip to town, there is nothing else in the vicinity to do. Breakfast was most definitely not worth the amount charged. We had reasonable service from the staff, however, once it was clear that we were not going to be leaving a large tip, the service deteriorated rapidly.
